We have been growing grapes and making wine in the Coal River Valley since 1999. Brinktop Vineyard is our new venture, refining 18 years of experience and our passion for producing Tasmanian Pinot Noir.
Brinktop Killara Pinot Noir 2017
"Killara" is the premium Pinot Noir in the Brinktop range, made from grapes grown on 30 year old vines in the Coal River Valley, Tasmania. Structure, depth and a silky smooth mouth feel are complimented with layers of flavour. Red berry fruits are pronounced, followed by mushroom and spice. The wine was made using partial wild ferment, some whole bunch and matured in French oak for 16 months.
BRINKTOP PINOT NOIR 2017
Made from Pinot Noir grapes grown on vines planted the Coal River Valley in 2005. Partial wild ferment, open vat, hand plunged then basket pressed after 16 days on skins. Matured in French oak barriques for 16 months. Bright ruby red wine with a juicy palate of cherry and hints of white pepper.
Brinktop Tempranillo 2017
Hand crafted using small quantities of Tempranillo grapes grown on a warm, north facing slope in the Coal River Valley, Tasmania. Hand picked, de-stemmed then allowed to ferment with ambient yeasts. After 18 days skin contact the wine was gently basket pressed to extract only the finest flavours and tannin then matured in American oak barriques for 15 months. A generous nose of dark cherries and a little plum.
